KCMCo Undergraduate Entry Requirements
To enroll at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College’s undergraduate and non-degree programs, candidates must meet both general and program-specific standards. Candidates applying for studies under the IUCEA Students’ Exchange Programme must fulfill the entry credentials for equivalent programmes at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College, as well as the requirements of the admitting university, whose decision is final.
Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Degree Programmes
An applicant will be considered for admission to a first-degree program at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College if they have one of the following qualifications:
(a) To sit for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E.), applicants must have a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C.S.E.E.) or equivalent and pass FIVE eligible subjects, three of which must be at Credit level.
(b) Two principal level passes in appropriate subjects in the A.C.S.E.E. or equivalent, with total points from three subjects not less than 5 (for Arts programs) and 2 (for Science-based programs), based on the following grade-to-point conversion scale: A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2, E = 1, S = 0.5, and F = 0 point.

(c) An applicable equivalent Diploma of at least a Second Class/Credit level or B grade from a NACTE-registered college authorized by the KCMCo Senate. The prerequisite for Diplomas categorized into Upper and Lower classes is an Upper Second class or B+ average. Note: Applicants from countries with an 8-4-4 school system must finish at least one year of study at a university in their home country before being evaluated for admission to Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College.
(d) A minimum score of 100 attained from the Mature Age Entry Examination (MAEE), which includes at least 50 in Paper I and 50 in Paper II. MAEE was established to provide opportunities to extremely well-qualified Tanzanian applicants who aspire to study for a first degree at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College but do not meet the University’s Direct/Equivalent admittance standards. To be eligible for MAEE, one must be 25 years of age or older on August 1st of the year in which admission is requested.
In addition, one must have received at least three credits in recognized topics in the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination or completed Form VI at least five years before September 1st. Furthermore, a candidate must have finished Form VI at least five years prior to September 1st of the year they are seeking admission, or they must have earned at least three credits in acceptable courses on the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination.
