The METI Internship Program is offered by the Japanese government. METI stands for the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry. This program’s goal is to help small and medium-sized Japanese businesses (MSMEs) expand globally. This year’s internship plan includes the following two courses.
Face-to-face courses in Japan (Visiting internship)

- Age: Applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 40 as of August 1, 2024.
- Students must provide a certificate of enrollment and a letter of recommendation. Graduates must produce both a graduation certificate and a recommendation letter.
- Availability: The ability to devote full-time to the internship according to the program’s timetable.
- Other qualifications include IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, CEFR, or JLPT certification.
- Previous Participation: Applicants should not have participated in the program between FY2016 and FY2023.
