ALJI GARDENING SOLUTIONS is a rapidly expanding company offering landscaping and gardening services throughout Tanzania. Our team is comprised of highly trained and skilled professionals with expertise in horticulture and business, committed to providing our clients with exceptional and qualified services.
We are currently looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Operations Officer. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of basic accounting principles, experience in administrative and operational roles, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Communications Management
- Act as the intermediary between the company and clients, ensuring clear communication.
- Handle and respond to emails, phone calls, and written correspondence from clients and staff.
- Prepare and submit official documents in line with company regulations.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and suppliers.
Administrative Support
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records for staff and clients.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and processes.
- Manage and coordinate office maintenance activities, including repairs, cleanliness, and safety.
- Promptly address any office-related issues to ensure a conducive work environment.
Coordination of Resources and Supplies
- Assist in managing the distribution of uniforms and office equipment.
- Handle inventory and procurement of office supplies and appliances.
Assistance with Tax & Accounting Functions
- Support basic accounting tasks, including managing office budgets, expenses, and invoice processing.
- Execute tax payments and returns, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Monitor monthly utility payments (e.g., water, internet, electricity) and ensure sufficient resources are available to run the office.

Project/Event Coordination
- Help organize marketing events, pop-up sales, and seasonal events, ensuring their smooth execution.
Qualifications
- A degree in Business Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for education and a positive attitude towards working with children.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Flexible, able to multitask, and work with minimal supervision.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
