The District Council of Nyang’hwale, through alternative employment approval Ref.No.FA.228/613/01/C/019 dated May 20, 2024, issued by the Secretary General of the Office of the President – Public Service Management and Good Governance, invites applications from qualified Tanzanians for the following position:
1. VILLAGE EXECUTIVE OFFICER GRADE III – ONE POSITION (01)
Must have completed Form Four or Six education and obtained a Certificate (NTA LEVEL 5) in one of the following fields: Administration, Law, Social Education, Financial Management, Community Development, and Arts and Sciences from a recognized Local Government Training Institute at Hombolo, Dodoma, or any government-recognized institution.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Chief Executive Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the Village Government;
- Ensuring the security and safety of citizens and their property, acting as a peacekeeper and administrator of good governance in the village;
- Coordinating and overseeing the implementation planning of Village Development Plans;
- Secretary to Meetings and all Village Council Committees;
- Interpreting and overseeing policies, laws, and regulations;
- Preparing implementation reports for the area and motivating citizens to prepare and implement strategies to eliminate hunger, poverty, and increase productivity;
- Leader of Professional Heads in the Village Units;
- Managing, collecting, and storing all records and documents of the village;
- Chairperson of expert meetings in the village;
- Receiving, hearing, and resolving complaints and disputes from villagers;
- Supervising the drafting of village by-laws; and
- Accountable to the Ward Executive Officer.
SALARY SCALE
- In accordance with the Government salary scale TGS B per month.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Applicant must be a Tanzanian citizen aged not more than 45 years and not less than 18 years. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must specify their type of disability. Applicants must attach a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) with personal details, active postal address, phone number, email address, and names of three reliable referees.
“Provisional/Testimonials/Statement of results” and Form IV and Form VI result slips will not be accepted. All applicants must attach a certified copy of their birth certificate by a Lawyer. Former Public Service employees retired are not eligible to apply unless approved by the Secretary General.
Applicants who are already Public Service employees and have acquired qualifications to transfer to different cadres must pass their application letters to their employers and their employers must be satisfied accordingly. Applicants currently employed in entry positions within the Public Service are not allowed to apply and must adhere to the instructions in the document No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.

All applications must be accompanied by certified academic certificates by a Lawyer. Applicants who studied abroad must ensure their certificates are verified by the relevant authorities (TCU, NACTE, and NECTA).
