The Executive Director of Masasi District Council has received a Replacement Employment Permit from the Permanent Secretary OR – Public Service with Reference No. FA.228/613/01/C/009 dated 20/05/2024. Therefore, he wishes to announce to all qualified Tanzanians to apply for three (3) positions as specified below:
1.Village Executive Grade III – Position 01
Applicant Qualifications:
- Must have completed Form IV or Form VI education and possess a certificate (NTA – level 5) in one of the following fields: Administration, Law, Community Development, Social Sciences, Financial Management, or Arts Science from the Local Government Institute Hombolo – Dodoma or any other government-recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the accounting officer and chief executive of the village government.
- Supervise the security and safety of citizens and their property, maintain peace, and ensure good governance within the village.
- Coordinate and supervise the planning and implementation of village development plans.
- Serve as the secretary of village council meetings and all village committee meetings.
- Interpret and enforce policies, laws, and procedures.
Salary Scale:Based on Government salary scales – TGS B1
2. Kitchen Attendant Grade II – Position 01
Applicant Qualifications:
- Form IV graduates with a certificate in Kitchen Services from government-recognized institutions.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Kitchen Attendant Grade II:
- Clean cooking utensils.
- Clean dining utensils.
- Clean the dining area.
- Assist cooks/food preparers with work tools.
- Clean cooking areas.
Salary Scale: Based on Government salary scales – TGOS A1
Records Assistant Grade II – Position 01
Applicant Qualifications:
- Must have completed Form IV or Form VI education and possess a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in one of the following fields: Records Management, Cartography, Geoinformatics, Law, or Health Records from government-recognized institutions and be computer literate.
Duties and Responsibilities
- List incoming letters in the registry (Incoming Correspondence Register).
- List outgoing letters from the institution (Outgoing Correspondence Register).
- Distribute files to action officers.
- Receive files returned to the registry from action officers.
- Retrieve records/documents or files needed by action officers.
- Return files to racks/cabinets or other storage locations.
- Track the movement of files within and outside the institution.
Salary Scale: Based on Government salary scales – TGS C1
General Conditions for Applicants:

Applicants who studied abroad should ensure their certificates are verified and certified by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE). Applicants who have been retired from public service are not allowed to apply unless they have clearance from the Chief Secretary.
Applicants who are currently employed in entry positions in public service should not apply and should adhere to the guidelines in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010. Providing false information and qualifications will result in legal action against the involved parties. The deadline for submitting job applications is 08 July 2024.
