Matangazo ya Kazi Ajira Portal

The Director of Kigamboni Municipal Council invites qualified Tanzanians who are interested in working with the Kigamboni Municipality to apply for the following job positions. This is based on permit No. FA.97/288/01/09 dated June 25, 2024, from the Secretary General, President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance.

1.0 Driver II – 5 Positions

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspecting the vehicle before and after the journey to determine its safety condition.
  • Transporting employees to various locations for official duties.
  • Performing minor vehicle repairs.
  • Collecting and distributing various documents.
  • Recording and maintaining travel details in the travel logbook.
  • Cleaning the vehicle.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Applicant Qualifications

  • Must hold a Form IV certificate and a Class ā€œEā€ or ā€œCā€ driving license, with at least one year of accident-free driving experience.
  • Must have completed a Basic Driving Course provided by the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or another government-recognized institution.

Salary Scale: According to the Government Salary Scale TGS B.

Records Assistants II – 10 Positions

Job Responsibilities

  • Registering incoming mail in the registry.
  • Registering outgoing mail in the registry.
  • Distributing files to action officers.
  • Receiving files returned to the registry from action officers.
  • Searching for records/documents/files required by action officers.
  • Returning files to racks/filing cabinets or other storage locations.
  • Tracking the circulation of files within the institution.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Applicant Qualifications

  • Must have a Form IV or Form VI education and a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Records Management from a government-recognized institution.
  • Must have computer skills.

Salary Scale: According to the Government Salary Scale TGS C.

General Conditions for Applicants

Eligibility Citeria

  • Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45, except for those already in government service.
  • Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should specify their disabilities in the job application system for the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.

Application Requirements:

  • Submit a detailed CV with a reliable address, phone numbers, email address, and three reputable referees.
  • Attach certified copies of academic and professional certificates by a lawyer/advocate. This includes Form IV or Form VI certificates for those who reached that level, and certificates of completion of relevant courses.
  • Attach a birth certificate.
  • For those who studied outside Tanzania, ensure certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET) and include the verification report with the application.
  • Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of results, and Form IV and Form VI result slips WILL NOT be accepted.
  • Submission of false information or qualifications will result in legal action.
  • Public servants seeking entry-level positions must have their qualifications verified by their employers.
  • Retired public servants may only apply if they have permission from the Chief Secretary.

  • The deadline for receiving job applications is July 27, 2024.
  • Applications should be submitted through the electronic recruitment portal at portal.ajira.go.tz. No applications will be accepted through other means.
  • Applications submitted outside the specified procedure WILL NOT be considered.
