The Director of Kilindi Lutheran Hospital, owned by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, North Eastern Diocese, is pleased to announce 56 job vacancies in the Health Sector as follows:

1. Medical Officer Grade II (5 Positions)

Qualifications: Bachelor of Medicine from a recognized university/college. Experience: At least one year of internship. Registration: Must be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care to patients.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries.
  • Conduct and interpret medical tests.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

2. Assistant Medical Officer Grade II (4 Positions)

Qualifications: Advanced Diploma in Medicine from a recognized college. Completed Form Four or Six. Registration: Must have a valid practicing license from the Medical Council of Tanganyika.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in diagnosing and treating patients.
  • Perform medical procedures under supervision.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes.

3. Nursing Officer Grade II (2 Positions)

13. Driver (1 Position)

Qualifications: Completed Form Four and holds a valid E or C1 driver’s license. Experience: At least one year of accident-free driving experience. Training: Basic driving course from VETA or another recognized institution.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive hospital vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks.
  • Ensure timely transportation of patients and staff.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and documentation.
  • Adhere to traffic laws and hospital driving policies.

General Requirements for All Applicants:

Must be a Tanzanian citizen. Must be under the age of 45. Must possess all relevant training certificates (Form Four, Form Six, Professional and Full Registration or valid practicing license). Must not be a government employee or an employee of religious organization hospitals where the salary is paid by the government.

Must not have been dismissed, resigned, or retired from public service. Must attach a detailed CV with reliable contact information and the names of three reputable referees. Must have a National Identification Number (NIN). Must attach a copy of the birth certificate.
