Following the Masasi Town Council’s receipt of an employment permit with reference number FA.97/288/01/09 dated 25/06/2024, which includes the position of Street Executive III (6) from the Secretary General of the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance. The Director of Masasi Town Council announces job vacancies and invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill these positions:
1. STREET EXECUTIVE III – POSITIONS (6)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF STREET EXECUTIVE GRADE III
Secretary of the Street Committee. Chief Executive of the Street. Coordinator of the implementation of Policies and Laws executed by the Council in the Street. Advisor to the Street Committee on development plans in the Street. Supervisor of the implementation of by-laws and other applicable laws in the Street.
Advisor to the Street Committee on security and safety matters. Supervisor of the implementation of various strategies related to hunger and poverty eradication in the street. Supervise the collection of Council revenues and maintain records of all taxpayers. Prepare and maintain a register of all Street residents. Report to the Ward Executive.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
Must have completed Secondary Education (Form IV) or Advanced Secondary Education (Form VI) and have completed a Certificate (NTA Level 5) in one of the following fields: Administration, Law, Community Education, Financial Management, Community Development, and Social Sciences from the Local Government Training Institute Hombolo or any other institution recognized by the Government.
SALARY SCALE: According to the Government Salary Scales – TGS B.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years, except those currently employed in the Government. All applications must be accompanied by verified copies of education and professional certificates by a lawyer/advocate, which include Form IV and Form VI certificates and certificates of various training in accordance with the job qualifications. Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates, – Form IV and Form VI exam certificates, – Computer Certificate, – Professional certificates (from respective boards). Applicants who studied abroad should ensure their certificates are verified and recognized by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE). Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary. Applicants already employed in entry-level positions within the Public Service should not apply and must adhere to the instructions in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November 2010.
