This partnership marks the launch of the AFYA-THABITI project, a significant health initiative aimed at enhancing HIV/AIDS services and support within the district. The project is set to run from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.

AMREF, a prominent non-governmental organization dedicated to health development, has teamed up with Serengeti District Council to address critical health challenges and improve community health outcomes. To support this important project, the following positions are now open:

1.Enrolled Nurse (EN) (7 Posts)

Enrolled Nurses will provide essential nursing care and support in various healthcare settings. They will play a crucial role in delivering patient care, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures.

2. Clinical Officer (CO)

The Clinical Officer will be responsible for delivering comprehensive clinical services, including diagnosing and treating patients. This role involves managing patient care and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment.

3. Data Clerks (11 Posts)

Data Clerks will manage and maintain accurate health data and records. They are responsible for ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and timely reporting, which are essential for monitoring and evaluating the project’s impact.

4. Community Health Care Worker (CHW) (11Posts)

Community Health Care Workers will provide basic health services and education within the community. Their focus will be on preventive care, health promotion, and supporting individuals with HIV/AIDS.

5. Community Outreach Volunteers (COV) (9 Posts)

Role Overview: Outreach Volunteers will engage with community members to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. They will work to promote health services and encourage community participation in the project.

6. Lay Counselors (10 Posts)

Lay Counselors will offer emotional support and counseling to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. They will provide guidance, help clients navigate their health journey, and offer psychosocial support.

7.Community Expert Clients (CEC) (8 Posts)

Community Expert Clients will use their personal experiences to support and mentor others living with HIV/AIDS. They will provide valuable insights and encouragement to improve the quality of life for affected individuals.

8.Laboratory Technician

The Laboratory Technician will conduct various laboratory tests and analyses to support the diagnosis and monitoring of HIV/AIDS. Accurate testing is critical for effective patient management and treatment.

9. Pharmaceutical Technician

Pharmaceutical Technicians will manage and dispense medications, ensuring proper usage and adherence to treatment protocols. They will play a key role in supporting medication management for individuals with HIV/AIDS.

10. Community HIV Testers

Community HIV Testers will conduct HIV testing and provide counseling to clients. This role is vital for early detection and prevention, as well as for offering support and guidance to those who test positive.
