Exim Bank is currently seeking an experienced and qualified individual for the position of Assistant Manager – Credit Monitoring & Compliance. The role is essential in ensuring that the bank’s credit portfolio remains of high quality, while adhering to internal policies and external regulatory requirements. The Assistant Manager will be tasked with monitoring, managing, and mitigating credit risks to safeguard the bank’s interests.

Key Responsibilities

1. Credit Policy Implementation:

Ensure proper implementation of the bank’s credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Manage the quality of the credit portfolio through adherence to approved policies and procedures.

2. Risk Management:

Identify, measure, and manage credit risks across various assets. Monitor early warning signals and take prompt remedial action to mitigate risks.

3. Overdue Account Management:

Conduct daily follow-ups on overdue accounts to reduce outstanding amounts in a timely manner. Report high-risk overdue accounts to management and take corrective actions promptly.

Reduce provisions through vigorous account regularization efforts and prevent accounts from falling into Non-Performing Assets (NPA).

4. Client Communication:

Issue demand notices and reminders to defaulting borrowers. Work with relationship managers to ensure timely renewal of credit facilities and visits to overdue borrowers to discuss turnaround strategies.

5. Portfolio Performance Monitoring:

Conduct regular meetings (daily/weekly/monthly) with relationship managers and regional managers to discuss credit portfolio performance.

6.Compliance Management:

Ensure adherence to all terms and conditions set during the credit sanctioning process. Assess and monitor credit facilities for environmental and social compliance.

Collaborate with the credit origination team to mitigate environmental and social risks.

7. Reporting and Strategic Planning:

Compile and report on environmental and social performance metrics.

Assist the Credit Origination & Monitoring Manager in identifying market trends and formulating strategies for the future of the department.
