Field Operations Officer – Trainee (5 Position)
The Field Operations Officer – Trainee will join Pivotech’s Power & Energy department, gaining practical experience in preventative and corrective maintenance, generator services, and site optimization. Trainees will be guided to maintain SHEQ compliance standards and enhance operational performance while learning valuable skills that contribute to creating efficient, safe, and sustainable power solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Maintenance: Execute Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities as per Service Level Agreements (SLA), ensuring smooth operations on assigned sites.
- Asset Management: Ensure effective utilization and maintenance of consumables, spares, and Pivotech-provided assets.
- Corrective Measures (CM): Perform Corrective Maintenance to address site issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Data Integrity: Uphold data accuracy across site operations, reports, and service logs.
- SHEQ Compliance: Adhere to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Timely Escalation: Promptly report any on-site issues for swift resolution.
- Cost Management: Ensure expenditures are accurately tracked and reconciled.
- Generator Management: Oversee the proper handling, servicing, and operation of the company’s standby generators.
- Performance Evaluation: Participate in regular evaluations based on Pivotech’s Performance Evaluation Procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background
An Ordinary Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience, ideally in a related operational or maintenance role.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive and detail-oriented with a keen interest in innovation.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt under pressure, and perform in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Professional registration with EWURA and ERB is advantageous.
