The internships align with CRS’s Leveraging Community Systems to Optimize Maternal-Child Nutrition Project in Mbeya and Njombe. The initiative aims to reduce childhood stunting and enhance adolescent nutrition outcomes through strengthened community structures and sustainable practices. Internship Details
1. Project Intern – Nutrition
- Reports To: Project Manager
- Duration: January 1 – September 30, 2025 (Fixed Term)
- Location: Mbeya
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with local authorities to implement nutrition-related activities.
- Support training sessions for community-based support systems.
- Monitor and evaluate nutrition activities, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Conduct supportive supervision and follow-ups with front-line workers.
- Assist with the preparation of field reports and project documentation.

Qualifications:
- Recent bachelor’s degree (2022–2024) in Public Health, Nutrition, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Swahili and working knowledge of English.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and rural settings.
2. Project Intern – Agriculture
- Reports To: Project Manager
- Duration: January 1 – September 30, 2025 (Fixed Term)
- Location: Mbeya
Responsibilities:
- Work with local government authorities to implement agricultural interventions.
- Facilitate workshops and demonstrations on sustainable farming techniques.
- Assist farmers in accessing agricultural inputs and promoting modern farming methods.
- Monitor and evaluate agricultural activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Collaborate with farmers and communities to encourage practices that enhance maternal and child nutrition.
Qualifications:
- Recent bachelor’s degree (2022–2024) in Agriculture, Rural Development, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Swahili and working knowledge of English.
- Experience in community-based health or nutrition programs is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel and work in rural areas.
