In search of a skilled Accountant and Financial Analyst to join our team in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, MTI Investment, a forward-thinking investment and venture-building organization listed on Nasdaq First North in Sweden, is now accepting applications. MTI Investment makes investments in SMEs, or small and medium-sized businesses. The company’s staff is located in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, as well as Stockholm, Sweden.
Our primary objective is to invest in businesses that have the ability to expand and produce a positive cash flow while making a lasting impact. Currently, we have ten potential businesses in our investment portfolio that are involved in everything from construction to agricultural technologies. Key responsibilities
Oversee all accounting activities; create financial statements and budget predictions; carry out monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings; Accounts payable and receivable reconciliation Assure prompt bank transfers and tax observance. Prepare tax returns and calculate taxes. Examine profit and loss statements as well as balance sheets. A report on the liquidity and financial health of the firm Observe financial rules and guidelines. Help portfolio firms prepare their weekly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
Qualifications/Background
A minimum of three years of experience in accounting and/or auditing; a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar profession; strong analytical abilities and mastery of Microsoft Excel; and a proactive, self-starting individual who demonstrates initiative, ownership, and leadership. Excellent command of accounting rules and processes;

strong planning, productivity, and task management abilities; fluent English verbal and written communication skills; excellent computer capabilities Practical knowledge of accounting software, such Sage or QuickBooks, is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: CPA, ACCA, or similar qualification Prior work experience from one of the Big Four accounting firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG) Understanding of IFRS
