ASA Microfinance Tanzania, a leading provider of financial services aimed at empowering small and medium-sized enterprises, is currently seeking qualified candidates for two pivotal positions: Accounts Manager (ACC-M) and Head of IT. These roles are essential for driving the organization’s mission to provide accessible and sustainable financial solutions across Tanzania.

1.Accounts Manager (ACC-M)

The Accounts Manager (ACC-M) will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This includes managing accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support the overall mission of ASA Microfinance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with financial laws and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures.
  • Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Mentor and supervise the accounting team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

2.Head of IT

The Head of IT will lead the information technology department, ensuring that ASA Microfinance’s IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and capable of supporting the organization’s growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
  • Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Ensure the security of IT systems and data, implementing best practices for cybersecurity.
  • Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, new implementations, and technology initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff and management.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Develop and manage the IT department’s budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of leadership.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Proficiency in various IT tools and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
