Position Available:
Regional Monitoring & Learning Officer – AIM
Location: Dodoma

The role supports monitoring activities and enhances learning in the Accelerating Impact for Young Women (AIM) program in the Dodoma Region. The program aims to foster the agency and voice of adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), enabling them to engage in sustainable livelihoods and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring & Learning:

  • Execute the M&E Plan, manage participant databases, and verify project MIS reports.
  • Develop and test data collection tools and reporting formats for the AIM project.
  • Conduct quality monitoring data collection, analysis, and reporting as per BI guidelines.
  • Ensure data quality through random verifications and validations.
  • Develop performance indicators, track progress, and document learnings.
  • Lead project monitoring, document findings, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Capacity Building:

  • Coordinate and facilitate training, workshops, and meetings related to Monitoring and Learning.
  • Enhance the team’s ability to secure and archive documentation of project activities, disaggregated by gender, disability status, and location.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Compile and analyze data for specific Monitoring and Learning reports.
  • Attend regional review workshops, document findings, and share them with the project and monitoring team.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure team members’ safety from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation.
  • Promote and endorse safeguarding policies and implement safeguarding standards.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure for any reportable incidents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills.

Educational Requirements:

  • University Degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in monitoring in national or international organizations.
  • Proficiency in using digital devices and platforms such as KOBO Collect for data collection.
  • Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software (SPSS, NVIVO, STATA, GIS).
  • Experience in designing tools and methods for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
