Since its registration in Tanzania in 2018, HIHEA TZ has established a robust presence across the country, operating five branches in Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Singida, and Dodoma. As HIHEA TZ continues to expand its initiatives, the organization is now inviting applications for eight (8) Business Relationship Trainee positions for their Mara branch. Below are the details of the job description, qualifications, and application process.

Key Responsibilities:

The Business Relationship Trainee is responsible for the implementation of HIHEA’s program activities in designated areas, ensuring compliance with the organization’s policies and guidelines. Specific duties include:

Promoting awareness of HIHEA’s programs and initiatives within local communities. Identifying and recruiting potential groups and individuals for program participation. Organizing and attending group meetings to facilitate group cohesion and sustainability. Assisting in group selection, formation, and management.

Preparing and submitting timely reports (daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual). Collaborating with government agencies and local NGOs to further program goals. Representing HIHEA TZ in local development committees and relevant stakeholder forums. Safeguarding HIHEA assets, such as equipment and motorbikes, and reporting any damages.

Supporting monitoring, evaluation, and documentation activities, including case studies and lessons learned. Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, including beneficiaries, partners, and government entities. Ensuring quality standards and compliance in program activities.

Job Specifications & Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: A diploma or higher qualification in any of the following areas: Community Development, Social Sciences, Agri-business, Cooperative Management, Microfinance, Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or related fields.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience working in community practice, social development, or social enterprises.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • A strong understanding of peri-rural development and financing.
  • A passion for working with marginalized rural and peri-urban communities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, public relations, and community mobilization skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
  • Self-driven, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team player with effective planning, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Good communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
  • Flexibility to work in various regions of Tanzania as per organizational needs.
  • Additional Requirements: Licensed and experienced motorbike riders are encouraged to apply.
