Position: Administrative and Finance Assistant
Location: Tanzania
Ekium Tanzania Ltd, the leading Electrical Instrumentation and Telecommunications Systems (EITS) contractor for the EACOP project, is seeking a qualified and motivated Administrative and Finance Assistant to join our team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage office and staff administration, including handling stationeries, staff travel, and accommodations.
- Ensure proper office record-keeping and preparation of daily cash balances.
- Prepare purchase orders, sales orders, credit notes, and returns to suppliers (RTS).
- Assist the Finance Manager with monthly preparations of VAT, TDS, PAYE, and NSSF.
- Support recruitment functions, including pre-employment documentation, inductions, and transport arrangements.
- Handle government office compliance requirements, such as licenses and certifications.
- Perform other administrative and finance duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Tanzanian citizen with at least a Diploma in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting/Tax.
- Professional certification (ACCA/CPA) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with financial management systems (e.g., QuickBooks) and managing invoices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data compilation and analysis.
- Experience working on international projects with multicultural teams is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to work independently, manage a significant workload, and meet deadlines.
