Kariakoo Market Corporation (KMC) is a corporate body established under the Kariakoo Market Corporation Act No. 36 of 1974 (revised by Act No. 16 of 1985) to manage and control the Kariakoo market and establish and manage other markets in the city of Dar es Salaam. As a commercial entity, KMC charges for its facilities to derive revenue and fund the cost of labor for its employees.
Kariakoo Market Corporation invites dynamic and suitably qualified Public Servants to fill one (1) transfer vacant post mentioned below:
PRINCIPAL ESTATE OFFICER II
Qualifications:
- Holder of a Master’s Degree in one of the following fields: Real Estate, Land Management and Valuation, Construction Economics, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Must have at least ten (10) years of working experience.
- Must be registered by a relevant Professional Board.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide inputs in conducting needs assessment of land acquisition for KMC buildings, commercial properties, and Corporation’s houses.
- Provide inputs in the formulation and supervision of the implementation of short- and long-term Real Estate Management programs.
- Provide inputs in the establishment of alternative uses of KMC Real Estate.
- Supervise the management survey of all KMC properties to establish a benchmark for proper use.
- Supervise enforcement of terms and conditions of lease agreements.
- Supervise preparation/review of Real Estate Management Policy, Manuals, and Guidelines.
- Advise on the acquisition, rental, and maintenance of properties owned by KMC.
Salary Scale: KMCS 8
