The chosen applicant will oversee the creation and standardization of new Master Data following market-related guidelines and templates. They will routinely clean existing Master Data to ensure the accuracy of the ontology, maintain its relevance to market standards, and promote the use of Master Data in purchasing to support the Group Procurement strategy.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Master Data Upkeep: Continuously maintain Master Data to support the Purchasing Function in alignment with the Group Procurement Strategy, ensuring no duplicates or remapped MIDs are active for more than 2 weeks.
- Naming Conventions: Develop, implement, and uphold a standardized naming convention for Master Data that aligns with industry best practices and market standards. This involves collaborating with subject matter experts and conducting extensive commodity-based research.
- MID Management: Oversee the creation of new MIDs and corrections to existing MIDs (within agreed SLAs) from Category Leads and/or Operations to the Group Catalogue, adhering to agreed structured naming formats. This includes understanding and applying classifications/groupings within the Group Catalogue and managing and correcting Master Data parameters.
- Data Integrity: Improve the clarity and integrity of Master Data through efficient service delivery and resolving issues that affect the realization of the overall Procurement Strategy.
- Change Management: Conduct change management activities with all stakeholders and end-users regarding the addition of MIDs and SIDs and the implementation of new Master Data Management Systems, such as the Online MID Application System.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to enhance Master Data maintenance and cleansing.
- Training: Provide on-the-spot training to all end-users on the use and search functionality of the Group Catalogue and related screens.
- Process Optimization: Ensure Master Data Management (MDM) processes are in place and optimized.
- Data Analysis: Identify potential for Master Data creation through the analysis of direct spend in collaboration with Category Leads/Operations, e.g., Off Crop Direct Spend Analysis.
- Transport Rate Factors: Ensure the timely capture/uploading of Transport Rate Factors, checking for duplicates and invalid estimates.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain weekly reports on pending MID applications to be shared with the Group Inventory team, including creating new MIDs from applications received manually and via the Online MID Application System.
Job Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
- Proven ability to work with large volumes of data.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Inventory Technology Systems.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong understanding of engineering equipment and spares.

Terms of Service
The successful candidate will be hired on a fixed-term contract of 2 years.
