The Chemist at the water treatment plant will be responsible for ensuring the effective and safe treatment of water used in the cement manufacturing process. The role involves conducting chemical analyses, monitoring water quality, and maintaining compliance with environmental standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, water treatment processes, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct chemical testing and analysis of water samples to ensure compliance with quality standards. Monitor and maintain the chemical balance of water used in the cement production process
Identify and troubleshoot issues related to water quality and treatment processes. Ensure that all water treatment processes meet environmental and safety regulations. Collaborate with other departments to improve water treatment processes and reduce waste.
Prepare reports on water quality, treatment efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of chemical usage and water treatment operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in water treatment, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, chemical analysis, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis.
