Mkulazi Holding Company Ltd (MHCL) is a joint venture between the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and the Tanzania Prisons Service. Our core activity is the production of high-quality sugar and related products, including bio-ethanol, particle boards, and pulp. We are currently implementing a major sugar project at the Mbigiri Estate in Kilosa District, Morogoro Region, with a target annual production of 50,000 MT of sugar upon full operation.
We invite competent, qualified, experienced, and dedicated Tanzanians to apply for the following positions:
1. Shift Engineer (2 Posts)
Reporting to: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Allocate tasks to Supervisors.
- Monitor and control cane quality and feeding.
- Oversee operation of feed tables, levellers, and fibrizer.
- Optimize mill performance.
- Ensure stable steam supply to the plant.
- Handle bagasse reclaimable system.
- Address breakdowns and supervise preventive programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical & Processing Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the food processing industry.
2. Front Loader Operator/Wheel Loader (3 Posts)
Reporting to: Shift Engineers
Responsibilities:
- Inspect equipment and maintain logs.
- Operate machinery safely and effectively.
- Interpret communication from operators and ground personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Form Four certificate or higher.
- At least 2 years of experience with a class F license.
3. Rigger-Mill House (1 Post)
Reporting to: Shift Supervisor-Mill
Responsibilities:
- Align, level, and anchor machinery.
- Select appropriate rigging equipment.
- Assess risks associated with lifting and moving heavy equipment.
- Ensure safety compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Form Four certificate.
- At least 2 years of experience.
4. Boiler Maker-Workshop (2 Posts)
Reporting to: Supervisor-Fabrication and Machining
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate parts and issue welding rods.
- Maintain good housekeeping and prepare material requests.
- Recondition factory spares and select welding electrodes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Form Four certificate and Certificate in Welding and Fabrication (NTA Level III) or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
5. Turbine Operator (1 Post)
Reporting to: Technician-High Speed Machines
Responsibilities:
- Monitor lubrication and control oil pressure.
- Observe operating parameters and maintain vacuum and water levels.
- Manage lubricant oil and cooling water systems.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on turbo alternator set.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Full Technician Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
6. Technician – Instrumentation (1 Post)
Reporting to: Engineer – Instrumentation
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and calibrate electronic field and control panel instruments.
- Conduct routine maintenance and report on spares.
- Overhaul and calibrate various instruments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Form Four certificate and Full Technician Certificate in Instrumentation or Electronics.
- At least 3 years of experience.
7. Maintenance Worker – Instrumentation (2 Posts)
Reporting to: Technician – Instrumentation
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of factory instruments.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and electrical drives.
- Clean and calibrate laboratory instruments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Form Four certificate and Electronics Certificate (NTA Level III) or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the sugar industry.
8. Maintenance Worker – Electrical (2 Posts)
Reporting to: Electrical Technician
Responsibilities:
- Maintain electrical equipment and installations.
- Respond to breakdowns and perform installations.
- Trace faults and take electrical measurements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Form Four certificate and Certificate in Electrical Installation (NTA Level III) or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience.
9. Operator – Effluent Treatment Plant (3 Posts)
Reporting to: Supervisor – Effluent and Water Treatment Plant
Responsibilities:
- Take water samples and analyze quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure effective chemical dosing.
- Perform routine cleaning and adhere to safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience.
10. Supervisor – Juice Clarification (2 Posts)
Reporting to: Manufacturing Chemist
Responsibilities:
- Adjust valves and ensure proper boiling and vacuum conditions.
- Check and strike Massecuite samples.
- Ensure no force grain in the Massecuite.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Form Four certificate with at least 3 years of experience in sugar processing.
11. Planning Engineer – Project & Maintenance (1 Post)
Reporting to: Project Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Control asset movement and prepare maintenance schedules.
- Ensure correct plant labeling and analyze new equipment installations.
- Provide inputs for maintenance reports and budgets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical & Processing Engineering, or equivalent.
- Registered by a Professional body with 4 years of experience in manufacturing or large-scale agricultural production.
