Mlimba District Council Vacancies Tanzania

Mlimba District Council has received approval to implement new employment with Reference No. FA. 97/288/01/09 dated June 25, 2024, from the Permanent Secretary, President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance. In accordance with this approval, the Executive Director of Mlimba District Council invites all qualified and interested Tanzanians to apply for the job vacancies listed below.

1. VILLAGE EXECUTIVE OFFICER GRADE III – FIVE (5) POSITIONS

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Accounting officer and chief executive of the village government.
  2. Supervising the protection and safety of citizens and their property, being a peacekeeper and overseer of good governance in the village.
  3. Coordinating and overseeing the planning of village development plans.
  4. Secretary of meetings and all committees of the village council.
  5. Interpreting and implementing policies, laws, and procedures.
  6. Preparing implementation reports of tasks in the area and encouraging citizens to prepare and implement strategies to eliminate hunger, poverty, and increase productivity.
  7. Managing, collecting, and storing all village records and documents.
  8. Chairman of the expert meeting in the village.
  9. Receiving, listening to, and resolving citizen complaints and conflicts.
  10. Supervising the formulation of village bylaws.
  11. Reporting to the Ward Executive Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a Form Four or Six education with a Certificate (NTA Level 5) in one of the fields of Administration, Law, Social Education, Financial Management, Community Development, or Arts Science from the Local Government College or any recognized college by the government.

SALARY: Based on Government salary scales, i.e., TGS B.

2. RECORDS ASSISTANT GRADE II – TWO (2) POSITIONS

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Listing incoming letters in the registry.
  2. Listing outgoing letters from the institution in the registry.
  3. Distributing files to executives.
  4. Receiving files returning to the registry from executives.
  5. Searching for records/documents/files needed by executives.
  6. Returning files to their shelves/cabinets or other storage places.
  7. Monitoring the circulation of files within the institution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) Certificate and a Diploma (NTA level 6) in records management from recognized colleges, with computer skills.

SALARY: Based on Government salary scales, i.e., TGS C.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years. All applicants should attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a working postal address, available phone numbers, and an email address along with the names of three reliable referees. Applicants who are already public servants must route their applications through their employers.

All applications should be accompanied by copies of certified academic and professional certificates such as Form Four/Six certificates for those who have reached that level and certificates of completion of various courses in accordance with job qualifications. Diploma/Certificates, Form IV and VI examination certificates, Computer Certificate, and Professional Certificates.

“Testimonial”, “Provisional Results”, “Statement of results”, Form IV and VI Results Slips will not be accepted. Applicants who studied abroad must ensure their certificates are verified and certified by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE). Applicants who have been retired from public service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.

Submission of forged information and qualifications will lead to legal action. The deadline for job application submissions is July 28, 2024.
