Position: Principal Relationship Officer I – Corporate Banking

Position Objective
Responsible for business growth for the bank, acquiring new profitable clients, and selling Corporate Banking Products while promoting sales of other Tanzania Commercial Bank products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, grow, and manage the corporate banking customer base by recruiting new customers and ensuring optimal sales to existing customers for maximum profitability.
Enhance customer loyalty by cross-selling and utilizing multiple Tanzania Commercial Bank products to retain clients. Proactively manage client portfolios in compliance with regulatory guidelines, bank policies, and procedures to mitigate financial loss or fraud. Identify and acquire new customers by marketing a full range of bank products and services.
Recommend negotiated prices for products and services within the portfolio. Seek cross-selling opportunities through proactive business development and marketing. Collaborate with the Corporate Team, Treasury Team, Branch Managers, and Operations team to address service needs for new and existing customers according to the bank’s strategy.
Lead the execution of Trade and Transaction Banking sales as part of the overall Corporate Banking Department strategy. Drive ongoing product development and management strategy through product strategy development, implementation, and end-state proposition. Recruit, nurture, and sustain new Trade and Transaction Banking relationships with growth potential and superior returns.
Control and manage the risk of the Trade and Transaction Banking portfolio to ensure high-quality credit and service profiles through adherence to risk management policies and procedures. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Professional and Interpersonal Details
Education: Holder of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution with at least ten (10) years of experience in the Banking Industry or Financial Institution.
