Vacancies Available:
1. Project Assistants – 4 Positions (Mwanza and Dar es Salaam)
Railway Children Africa is looking for four Project Assistants, with two positions available in Mwanza and two in Dar es Salaam. Reporting to the Project Team Lead, this role is critical in building relationships and supporting the well-being of street-connected children and youth in Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with key stakeholders to address the needs of street-connected children and those in long-term shelters.
- Ensure immediate needs like shelter, food, and healthcare are met.
- Assist in the reunification of children with their families where possible.
- Equip youth with essential life skills, helping them transition from street life to self-sufficiency.
- Work flexibly across field environments and shelters, ensuring the children receive ongoing support.

2. Project Team Leads – 2 Positions (Mwanza and Dar es Salaam)
Railway Children Africa is also seeking two Project Team Leads, with one position in Mwanza and one in Dar es Salaam. Reporting to the Project Manager, this leadership role focuses on guiding youth empowerment and economic strengthening initiatives designed to support street-connected youth and those at risk, including Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of youth-focused empowerment programs aimed at enhancing the economic well-being and skills of at-risk youth.
- Oversee projects that support street-connected children and youth in transitioning to productive, independent lives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design programs that offer long-term solutions for vulnerable children.
- Provide programmatic leadership and ensure that project objectives are met within timeframes and budgets.
