As a Sales Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales operations within the region. This position involves executing daily sales tasks while adhering to established processes and policies. You will provide exceptional support to internal sales teams and external trade partners, facilitating revenue-generating activities for Qatar Airways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Operations Execution: Handle a range of sales operations activities, including reservations and ticketing, refunds, group sales, and sales administration.
  • Trade Partner Communication: Deliver informative and customer-friendly communications to external trade partners regarding campaigns, policy changes, and fare revisions.
  • Database Management: Support the sales team in maintaining an up-to-date database of trade partners within the region.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on key departmental performance metrics and outstanding issues to line managers and regional management.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior team members to maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers and account managers to ensure documentation completion and address inquiries.
  • System Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of sales systems such as Galaxy and the trade portal platforms.
  • Contract Management: Upload PLB and corporate contracts into the Galaxy system.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales operations processes.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Educational Background: A high school qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of job-related experience in areas such as reservations/ticketing, sales support, group sales, tariffs, or business analysis.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with airline systems like Amadeus and GDS.
  • Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of airline processes, pricing, distribution technology, and the travel industry in general.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: An efficiency-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor team members and foster teamwork.
