The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is a Semi-Autonomous Agency under the Ministry of Works. It is in charge of managing the trunk and regional road networks on the Tanzanian mainland on a daily basis. A contract has been signed by the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) on behalf of the Tanzanian government to build the Same – Kisiwani – Mkomazi Road Project to bitumen standards.
In order to fill open positions on a defined contract for the aforementioned project, the Regional Manager’s Office, TANROADS Kilimanjaro, on behalf of the Chief Executive, plans to hire skilled and capable personnel in the following field:
SENIOR ENGINEER (STRUCTURES/BRIDGE ENGINEER) – (1 POST)
Entry Qualifications
The candidate must be a citizen of Tanzania, hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: structural engineering, highway engineering, transportation engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent training from an accredited institution, and have at least seven (7) years of relevant work experience. must have a Professional Engineer registration with the ERB.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Check that structural reports and drawings adhere to the relevant norms and requirements.
- Examine, verify, and provide the go-ahead for building materials to ensure they adhere to technical criteria.
- On a daily basis, save and preserve documents on drainage structures, such as reports, work diaries, correspondence, orders to contractors, and other information.
- Accept the measured amounts of daily drainage work that are properly completed:
- Every day, create a brief status report and send it together with the most recent drainage work expenses. additionally
- Carry out any additional responsibilities that the supervisor may assign you.
