Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) oversees the maintenance and development of Tanzania Mainland’s trunk and regional roads network. It also conducts axle load control operations using weighbridge scales. TANROADS Tabora seeks qualified Tanzanians to fill vacancies for the construction project of Kizengi Weighbridge and related infrastructure along Tabora-Nyahua-Chaya Road.
Positions Available:
1.Senior Engineer (Highway Engineer)
Entry Requirements: Tanzanian citizen with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 7 years’ experience in the field, registered by ERB as a Professional Engineer. Responsibilities include contract supervision, design review, and quality assurance.
2.Senior Engineer (Materials)
Entry Requirements: Tanzanian citizen with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 7 years’ experience in the field, registered by ERB as a Professional Engineer. Responsibilities include material testing, quality control, and daily reporting.
3.Senior Engineer (Structures/Bridge Engineer)
Entry Requirements: Tanzanian citizen with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 7 years’ experience in the field, registered by ERB as a Professional Engineer. Responsibilities include structural review, materials approval, and project reporting.
4. Senior Land Surveyor (Topographical Surveyor)
Entry Requirements: Tanzanian citizen with a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or equivalent. Minimum 7 years’ experience in the field, registered by NCPS as a professional Land Surveyor. Responsibilities include surveying, map preparation, and accuracy verification.
5. Senior Quantity Surveyor
Entry Requirements: Tanzanian citizen with a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Economics, or equivalent. Minimum 7 years’ experience in the field, registered by AQRB as a Professional Quantity Surveyor. Responsibilities include coordinating surveying technology, reviewing contracts, and handling disputes.
Location and Terms: Successful candidates will work in Tabora Region for a specified contract period of at least 1 year.
