The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) has announced new job openings for September 2024. TANROADS plays a critical role in managing the development, maintenance, and improvement of the trunk and regional road networks in Tanzania. As part of its mission to ensure safe and efficient roads, TANROADS is currently seeking highly qualified professionals to fill various full-time positions. Below are the vacancies and requirements. Available Positions
1. Senior Environmental Officer
Responsibilities: Oversee environmental aspects of road projects, ensure compliance with environmental policies and regulations, manage environmental assessments and monitoring. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field, with relevant work experience.
2. Senior Social Welfare Officer
Responsibilities: Handle social welfare issues related to road development projects, including community engagement, resettlement, and grievance management. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related discipline, with experience in community welfare or social development projects.
3. CAD Technician
Responsibilities: Assist engineers in preparing technical drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, provide design solutions and support construction teams. Requirements: Diploma in CAD or a related field, with experience in civil engineering design.
4. Senior Engineer (Structures/ Bridge)
Responsibilities: Lead the design and supervision of bridge and structural works in various road projects, ensure compliance with engineering standards. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with significant experience in bridge design and construction.
5. Senior Land Surveyor (Topographical)
Responsibilities: Conduct topographical surveys, provide data for road alignment and construction, manage survey teams. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying or Geomatics Engineering, with experience in road projects.
6.Assistant Land Surveyor
Responsibilities: Support senior surveyors in conducting land and topographical surveys, process survey data for engineering use. Requirements: Diploma in Land Surveying, with relevant field experience.
7. Senior Engineer (Materials)
Responsibilities: Oversee material testing and quality control for road construction projects, ensure materials meet project specifications. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering or Civil Engineering, with experience in materials testing.
8.Principal Engineer II (Resident Engineer)
Responsibilities: Act as the Resident Engineer for road projects, supervise construction works, ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with extensive experience in road construction and project management.
