The Tanzania People’s Defence Force (TPDF) is inviting applications for military recruitment from young Tanzanian citizens who have completed Form Four or Form Six education. This recruitment will also include youth currently in the National Service camps under ‘Operation General Venance Mabeyo’ and those who have completed their National Service contracts as per the law or on a voluntary basis.
Eligibility Criteria for Applicants (Current and Former National Service Members)
Tanzania People’s Defence Force (TPDF) Recruitment Vacancies July 2024 Youth interested in joining the military must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Be under 25 years old.
- Be in good health and of sound mind.
- Have good conduct and discipline, with no criminal record.
- Possess a valid birth certificate.
- Hold school certificates.
- Not have served in the Police Force, Prisons, Training College, or the Special Anti-Smuggling Unit.
- Have completed two years of voluntary National Service training or National Service training as per the law and been awarded a certificate.
Application Procedure
The application procedure is as follows:
a). For Youth Currently in the ‘Operation General Venance Mabeyo’ National Service Camps:
Applications will be coordinated by the Military Headquarters.
b). For Youth Outside the National Service Camps:
Handwrite your application and submit it to the Military Headquarters in Dodoma from August 1, 2024, to August 14, 2024, with the following attachments:
- A copy of the National ID card or NIDA number.
- A copy of the birth certificate.
- Copies of school certificates.
- A copy of the National Service certificate.
- The applicant’s mobile phone number.
