ICT Internship Position Overview
TSL is currently looking for a dedicated and skilled ICT Intern to assist in managing the company’s ICT infrastructure. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their career to gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic financial environment. The intern will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and maintenance of the company’s ICT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including servers, networks, and peripherals.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quick resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect against cyber threats.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in compliance with security policies.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery protocols to safeguard critical data.
- Offer technical support and guidance to staff, addressing hardware and software issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for ICT systems and troubleshooting processes.
- Contribute to the automation of ICT processes and the enhancement of system efficiency.
- Provide support in using social media channels, including data analytics, governance, and Management Information Systems (MIS).
- Train and mentor staff on ICT best practices and security protocols.
- Ensure compliance with ICT security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute ICT expertise to business initiatives and projects.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in managing ICT infrastructure and network administration.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and technical support skills.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving ICT issues.
- Knowledge of security protocols and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in ICT (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are a plus.
- Experience in ICT support and administration, with a solid understanding of IT systems and networks.
- Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware such as servers, routers, and firewalls.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player who can work across multiple functions to achieve shared objectives.
