The Director of Temeke Municipal Council informs Tanzanians who meet the qualifications and are interested in working at Temeke Municipality to apply for the following job positions, following approval with Ref. No. FA. 97/288/01/09 dated June 25, 2024, from the Secretary-General, Office of the President – Public Service Management and Good Governance.
1. WARD EXECUTIVE GRADE III (42 POSITIONS)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible Officer and Chief Executive of the Village Government;
- Supervising the security and safety of citizens and their property, maintaining peace and ensuring good governance in the village;
- Coordinating and overseeing the implementation planning of village development plans;
- Secretary of all Village Council Meetings and Committees;
- Interpreting and enforcing Policies, Laws, and Regulations;
- Preparing Work Implementation Reports in their area and mobilizing citizens to develop and implement strategies to eliminate hunger, poverty, and increase productivity;
- Leader of Heads of Professional Units in the village;
- Supervising, Collecting, and storing all records and village documents;
- Chairing meetings of village professionals;
- Receiving, hearing, and resolving citizen complaints and disputes;
- Supervising the drafting of village by-laws; and
- Being accountable to the Ward Executive.
- Along with other assigned duties by the employer.
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
Must have completed Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) education and obtained a Certificate (NTA Level 5) in one of the following fields: Administration, Law, Social Education, Financial Management, Social Development, or Social Science from a Government-recognized institution.
SALARY LEVEL: As per Government Salary Scale TGS B.
2. DRIVER GRADE II (5 POSITIONS)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspecting the vehicle before and after journeys to ensure vehicle safety;
- Transporting employees to various locations on official trips;
- Performing minor vehicle repairs;
- Maintaining and updating the logbook for all trips;
- Collecting and distributing various documents;
- Cleaning the vehicle;
- Performing other tasks as directed by their supervisor.
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
Must have completed Form Four (IV) and obtained a Form Four Examination Certificate (IV). Must have a Class ‘C’ or ‘E’ driver’s license with at least one (1) year of accident-free driving experience. Must have attended basic driving courses offered by Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or another Government-recognized institution.
SALARY LEVEL: As per Government Salary Scale TGS – B.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
