The Tanzanian Privacy and Protection Association (TPPA) is a registered corporation limited by guarantee in Tanzania, established to foster a dynamic community of privacy professionals dedicated to studying, researching, teaching, and advocating for best practices in privacy. TPPA also offers a platform for members to share their expertise on data protection and privacy issues in Tanzania.
Intern Responsibilities:
- Design and produce posters, news briefs, articles, and updates on data protection and privacy under the guidance of management.
- Manage TPPA’s social media accounts, ensuring regular updates are available for members.
- Draft emails and letters to stakeholders as directed by management.
- Follow up with stakeholders and the regulator regarding correspondence and information.
- Monitor issues that require special attention from TPPA.
- Enhance TPPA’s visibility through social media participation and other outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with management to create and plan TPPA event calendars.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Knowledgeable about privacy and data protection.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong curiosity and research abilities.
- Proficient in using the internet and capable of working remotely.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in both written and spoken Swahili and English.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Multitasking and attention to detail.
