What to Consider Before Applying

Prepare your motivation letter and resume prior to completing the application. You have one hour to complete the task.
Verify that your contact information is still valid for the next six months.
When applying, you can only speak French or English.
If your papers are not in French or English, kindly supply an unofficial translation in one of these languages.
Interns are not paid by UNESCO. Internship assignments come with no money or other remuneration.
There is no assurance of placement even if you meet the requirements. There are more eligible applications than we have openings for.
UNESCO managers worldwide will have access to your application, which will remain on our internship platform for six months.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be at least 20 years old.
Candidates must be graduate students (possessing a Master’s degree, Ph.D., or equivalent, or a second university degree or higher).
Graduates with a Master’s or Ph.D. degree obtained within 12 months prior to the program commencement are eligible.
Internship duration ranges from a minimum of one month to a maximum of six months.
Visa procurement is the responsibility of the applicants.
Candidates are required to arrange and finance their internship location.
International health insurance coverage is mandatory for the internship destination, with UNESCO offering limited insurance up to USD 30,000 during the program tenure.
Proof of good health is imperative for commencing the internship.
Applicants must furnish their ID, enrollment certificate, and diploma (for recent graduates).
