- Exclusion for Retirees: Those who have retired from public service are not eligible to apply.
- References: Applicants must provide the contact details of three reputable referees.
- Verification of Foreign Certificates: Certificates from foreign examination bodies must be verified by the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) for Ordinary or Advanced level education. Similarly, professional certificates from foreign universities must be verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) or the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).
