Dar es Salaam Maritime Institute (DMI) Vacancies September 2024 DMI, established on July 3, 1978, was initially a training unit within the Ministry of Transport and Communication, later upgraded to an independent institute by Act No. 22 of 1991 to meet the growing demand for maritime professionals. 1. Lecturer (Science and Management) – 1 Post
Responsibilities: Teaching, supervising student projects, preparing educational resources, conducting research, and offering consultancy services. Qualifications: PhD or Master’s in relevant fields with specified GPA and research experience. Salary: PHTS 3/1
2. Lecturer (Maritime Transport) – 1 Post
Responsibilities: Similar to Lecturer in Science and Management. Qualifications: PhD or Master’s in Nautical Science or related fields, with GPA requirements and readiness for sea service. Salary: PHTS 3/1
